During the last few years, a large number of people have enjoyed and trusted Cortijo Las Monjas for their meetings (weddings, communions, birthdays, baptisms, parties, anniversaries, etc...) , training, classes, retreats and workshops, in total tranquility, connected with nature, in a unique setting.
Our guests can also enjoy this space for leisure and relaxation every day. A place for rest, reading, sports activities, classes, discussions, meditation, yoga, and more... a place that will fill us with energy and tranquility, surrounded by trees and plants, and home to a multitude of birds that can be seen daily.
The gardens of Cortijo Las Monjas are located in the southwest part of the complex, next to the pool, and like almost the entire grounds, they enjoy beautiful views of the Tajos del Sabar (Tajo Doña Ana - 1,202 m above sea level, Tajo del Gomer - 1,129 m above sea level and Sierrecilla de Sabar), views of Pico de Vilo - 1,416 m above sea level, the highest peak in the Sierra de Enmedio.
From the gardens we can see the entire upper part of the Sabar Valley, a place that has been inhabited since prehistoric times due to its climate, characteristics and location.
On this site, we find a great variety of tree, plant, and flower species. A true paradise, carefully tended by the family.
Walnut trees, pomegranate trees, fig trees, almond trees, medlar trees, cherry trees, etc. make up a garden full of life, in which we can observe a great number of birds depending on the season, such as warblers, buntings, blackbirds, sparrows, swallows, turtledoves, goldfinches, pigeons, etc.
